Privacy

We have no accounts and set no tracking cookies. Our host keeps ordinary server logs. Photos you send are used only as described on the photo page.

Counting visits

We count visits with Cloudflare Web Analytics, which sets no cookies and does not follow you to other sites. We see totals only: how many people visited, which pages, and which site sent them.

Links that may pay us

Some links, such as those to Amazon, carry our affiliate code. If you click one, that site may set its own cookies to record that you came from us, and we may earn a small commission on what you buy, at no extra cost to you. As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases. These links never change what we say about a hotel.

The hotel price maps

The live hotel maps on our destination and hotel pages are run by Stay22, a booking partner. When a map loads, Stay22 receives the usual technical details any website gets (such as your IP address, browser and device type) and may set its own cookies, under Stay22's privacy policy. If you book through a map, we may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you.

Booking links

Our "See prices" buttons go through Stay22, and our Expedia links go through Expedia's partner program (run with its tracking partner, Partnerize). When you click one, Expedia, Stay22 and the booking site may use cookies and similar tracking to record that you came from us, so we can be paid a commission if you book, at no extra cost to you. Their own privacy policies explain what they collect: Expedia, Stay22. We never see your booking details.

Rental car links

Our rental car links go to Discover Cars, a car rental comparison site, through its partner program. When you click one, Discover Cars may set cookies that remember for up to a year that you came from us, so we can be paid a commission if you book, at no extra cost to you. Discover Cars' privacy policy explains what it collects. We never see your booking details.
